Internship Employment Permit
Internship Employment Permits are designed to facilitate employment in the State of foreign nationals who are full-time students, enrolled in a third level institution outside of Ireland, in order to gain practical work experience.

Either the non-EEA national or employer can apply for an Internship Employment Permit. A certified copy is sent to both the non-EEA national and employer.
Internship Employment Permits can only be issued for a maximum of 12 months and are not eligible for renewal.
A new employment permit for a different employer cannot be considered if the permit holder has completed less than 12 months of employment in the State. However, the non-EEA national permit holder can apply for either a General Employment Permit or Critical Skills Employment Permit during the 12-month period.

- Have a valid offer of an internship with an Irish employer

- Commits to pay the employee in accordance with Minimum Annual Remuneration as applicable
